Exhaust systems typically operate at very high temperatures of around 1000 degrees celcius or more giving rise to the need for an effective heat management solution. Heat shielding utilising a stainless steel or inconel foil wrap, together with an appropriate insulation material, will ensure that
the generated heat is retained within the exhaust thereby minimising any thermal leaks.
This provides protection to surrounding components and bodywork allowing for tighter engine packaging solutions. Additionally a heat shielded exhaust system will reduce heat-soak during pit stops allowing for quicker, easier servicing.
With the use of advanced CAD techniques we are able to design heat shielding to fit any shape or size of exhaust system without obstructing any surrounding components or bodywork.
